Most of us have the formula backward: success does not create a thriving culture — it's the thriving culture that creates sustainable success. Research shows a causal relationship between emotional connection and achieving greater motivation, higher performance, better communication, resilience, and positive relationships. Emotionally connected people enjoy numerous advantages because they more adeptly respond to challenges and create opportunities.

 

In this skill-building course, we approach emotional connection as a way of being—wholehearted living as a full expression of oneself with depth and meaning. Emotional connection emerges from a skill set that can be learned. In this highly interactive, practical course, participants will learn and apply principles and research-based techniques from the innovative field of attachment and the science of emotional connection.

 

Participants will engage in online breakout groups, discussions, emotional responsiveness, vulnerability, and other experiential exercises. Between sessions, participants will practice applying these skills and techniques to their daily interactions in personal and professional lives. By the end of the course, participants will have developed new strategies to help them be effective in creating positive relationships, better team dynamics, and more satisfying life.

How it works:

Using a multimodal cohort approach, participants progress through a series of 8 self-paced modules that consist of a combination of assigned readings, videos, and reflection questions. Each module includes a scheduled virtual live session devoted to further discussion and exploration of the topic(s) covered in the module.

Modules open September 16, 2022, and will be completed on participants' own time.
